NetEase Games and Naked Rain today announced that Ananta , the highly anticipated free-to-play urban open-world action RPG, will launch worldwide in 2027. The open world game will debut on Ananta’s official PC client, on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and mobile platforms . Ananta release date places the free-to-play anime take on GTA in January 2027, just 2 months after Rockstar's GTA 6
It's Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 , which means we're getting a first look at a plethora of new titles and various sneak peeks at those we've already been looking forward to – including Ananta. In case you've not seen Ananta out in the wild before, it's a free-to-play open-world anime-style game (say that three times fast, eh?) with some heavy GTA vibes that mark it as an action-packed adventure fans of Rockstar's own beloved series won't want to miss – and it turns out it's arriving sooner than expected.
