Metal Gear Solid es un juego de sigilo creado por Hideo Kojima que sigue a los videojuegos MSX2 Metal Gear y Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. A pesar de una transición a 3D, el juego sigue teniendo un gameplay similar a sus predecesores. El juego utiliza una vista tradicional desde arriba y el jugador debe navegar al protagonista Solid Snake a través de las áreas del juego sin ser detectado. La detección activará una alarma que atraerá a enemigos armados a su ubicación. Las conversaciones con aliados de Snake y las escenas cortas se utilizan ampliamente para avanzar la trama y obtener más información sobre ella. You’re buying this for Metal Gear Solid 4, and that’s fine. There are some for whom Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 would have been worth the price purely for the return of MGS 4, a game legendary for being landlocked on the PS3. But by grouping the game with Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid: Ghost Babel, the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 ends up being, pound for pound, one of the highest-quality collections of games ever.
